No, no, hard stop no 🛑 ✋ I’m really surprised to still see brands sometimes just copy and pasting their ecom content on their social channels — and then wondering why they’re not growing 🥴💔 Here’s why that’s not working and an alternative strategy: 1. Customers are in a different mindset when they’re scrolling through social feeds or actively checking a Webshop, which is why it’s best to provide different impulses on each channel 2. Think about your own behaviour on the gram, when you’re checking new recipes, cute dogs or your friend’s travel updates you’re not very receptive for clean and product shots 3. Social media platforms are still here to entertain and inspire ~ so take this chance to be a bit bold with your content, mix things up and present your product and designs in a different environment and aesthetic 4. Create an emotional connection first ~ the sale comes later. Most people check a brand’s Instagram first these days before even looking at the website. So why don’t you take this first touch point as an opportunity to share your values, a how-to-wear, BTS or your team or ANYTHING other than what you’re already presenting in your shop. Make use of all the different tools these platforms offer The mantra is ~ CREATE A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE PER CHANNEL 🫶🏼 If you’d like help with finding the right strategy to grow on social media and build lasting connections with your audience without loosing the identity of your brand’s core, send me a DM 💌 #socialmediastrategist #socialmediaservices #londonsocialmediamanager #socialmediatrends #socialmediamarketing #trendingaudio #trendingreels #femalebusinessowner #smallbusinessuk #socialmediaguru
