I had a flight right after the final show in New York on Sunday. Weather and crew issues caused my son and me to sit in the airport for 6hrs before my flight finally took off after midnight. As tired and frustrated as I was, It was tolerable, because I had that time to decompress and reflect on what happened just a few hours. Days. Weeks...Before. Less than a month ago, I walked into a rehearsal room at The City Center and sat with a group of masked super-artists I had never met or worked with before. About 10 days later we opened. About 10 days after that we closed. (All a part of the plan...😉) But what happened in the middle was such beauty and magic...it will always #staywithme. It wasn’t easy, but it was amazing. Thanks to all of you who came to see us, loved on us, in your absence sent your love to us, our show, and the artistry of Sondheim. Every time I come to NYC, I am reminded of the gift we have to be patrons and/or performers of the theater. We wanted to give you the best of us...”to ask more would be selfish, but nothing less would do”😉...and we hope you felt it! My sincere Thanks again...to one of the best casts (on and off stage) I’ve ever had the privilege to work with (and I’ve worked with the best of them...)...we came in as strangers and left as a family in these #woods.
