Posted this yesterday morning and according to my instagram insights 400 of you responded to it. I haven’t been able to get through all the messages but from the ones I’ve seen, so many of you just wanted the recognition and the validation. So here it is living on my feed because so many more stay at home mamas need to hear how hard it is. Disclaimer: should specify that I work as a PA in urgent care and internal medicine - since I got some comments on TikTok saying that it depends on what you do for work and 100 percent agree but I am def running around and not sedentary and was not as exhausted as being home with my kids. I’ve done it both now, I stayed home for a year with Anthony and then a year with Christopher. As Lucky as I felt to be able to do that, it was also really lonely, isolating and downright exhausting. I’m not saying that everyone feels the same as I do, and that’s completely fine- this post isn’t meant to cause an argument (though I’m sure a few will try). I’m just sharing my experience and so many messages said they related as well. But mainly just want to give SAHM the recognition they deserve. But just incase you’re a SAHM who needs to hear this today, here it is- it’s freaking hard and you’re doing great. Not to say being a working mom isn’t hard, too. Because it is. Trying to find a balance between being a good worker and then a good mom is challenging and I’m still trying to figure that out since it’s all new again to me. Wherever you are on your motherhood journey. Just Know that others feel the way you do too. You’re not alone!
