The messages I receive from women talking about how they feel and love their bodies more because they can see how comfortable I am posting myself the way I do touches me because of their will to be vulnerable towards me but also because of a feeling I recognize in myself. There are days that I feel grateful for my body, where I’m proud of my athletic physique. And, there are days that I don’t feel good, spiraling down, obsessing over other bodies I like more than mine. It’s easy to get caught up in this society with abnormal beauty standards. An ongoing journey with highs and lows where we have to keep believing in the power of our own beauty.
