My (controversial?) opinion... 🧔 I understand the reasoning behind asking people to not share a place on social media but I think it deflects from the actual problem which is people being SELFISH and DESTRUCTIVE in a public place. Placing 100% of the blame on influencers for the spoiling of natural places MISPLACES THE BLAME that should be placed on the people who are actually destroying nature. I’m sure there are exceptions but every content creator I know personally takes exceptional care to model respectful enjoyment of nature. when they are creating content. Their captions are full of warnings to LEAVE NO TRACE and to treat nature responsibly. This space has well marked paths and is easy to enjoy with so many photo opportunities without going off the paths. It really is a beautiful space. Instead of gatekeeping, I think there should be CONSEQUENCES AND ACCOUNTABILITY for causing harm to nature. I would fully support a LARGE FINE for people straying from paths and this money could be put back into caring for these places. If a space is paid for by taxpayer dollars and public funds, trying to ā€œkeep a place just for localsā€ keeps everyone from enjoying it, especially a place like this one that is located in a wealthy community. We all deserve to enjoy nature RESPONSIBLY. I’d love to see more PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY and less blaming social media for ā€œruiningā€ these places. Sending death threats to content creators who share a space and tell people to enjoy it responsibly is just NOT OK. Do you agree? I’m happy to hear your point of view in the comments. Disrespectful or disparaging comments will not be tolerated. šŸ«¶šŸ» #superbloom #leavenotrace #wildbayarea #bayarea #sanfrancisco #californiapoppies #visitcalifornia
