complex core 🫧🤤👈🏼
Hope this info is easy to digest;
I’d really prefer to sprinkle movements like this into my bigger sessions, but it’s also totally fine to do them all on their own...
On my cardio days, if I have time I’ll spend some working on movements like this,
Just tends to make more sense (time & efficiency wise) to do these sprinkled into your other sessions to build a resilient core
Are you getting tired of me talk about how important core training is yet??
Well I’m tired of just seeing “ab” workouts online :/
Probably isn’t worth your time to spend hours isolating your abs.
Slide 1: High Tension Isometric: Holding the roller in between my knee and elbow by activity flexing my abs
Slide 2: Creating and controlling lateral flexion
Slide 3: Resisting lateral flexion by placing a heavy DB on one side of me. Forcing my core to hold my body straight rather than falling to one side.
Slide 4: Creating and holding core rotation. We move in more than one dimension as humans, so why would we only train going forward and backward or up and down?
Slide 5: Resisting rotation by keeping my hips and shoulders squared forward as I move the band out and in.
Slide 6: Actively flexing on a ball that follows your spines natural curve a little better. Not worrying about crunching all the way but rather focusing on letting my abs do the work for a big stretch and a big squeeze
Big hugs. Happy day. Bye bye guys
