We optioned the novel in 2016 and made the show at the height of the pandemic in 2021. I’m so proud of Clio Barnard and Anna Symon who took Sarah Perry’s extraordinary book and turned it into a thrilling tv show, with Claire Danes and Tom Hiddleston delivering knockout performances.
