There’s a new student in my private studio, and you heard it here first; she is sure to be a star one day! @kcstauffer posted Mila singing about a month ago, and I thought I’d comment because it was so good, but since she has a few million followers, I didn’t think she’d see my comment.I’ve been following her account closely ever since Mila’s childhood days,and I honestly feel like I know their family pretty well after all these years(it’s crazy what social media can do). Thinking that she might not see the comment and being super impressed by her voice, I reached out to @lunchwithlily, her sister Abby, and asked if she can maybe ask Katie if she would consider voice lessons for Mila. Then about a couple weeks after that, I saw another post on Facebook, this time, of Mila singing, and since I caught it pretty much immediately, she saw my comment and messaged me! I’m just so grateful that they got the memo, so then Katie and I spoke. She said that Mila wants to take voice lessons so badly, and that basically her entire family on her mom’s side sings really well! We scheduled a lesson for this week,and given that this was Mila’s first one, I am so impressed by her talent, beautiful tone of her voice, her poise, and her acting skills. She was definitely made to do this, and I am not looking to change her beautiful god-given instrument,but rather,learn some techniques and tools to expand her range, work on some aspects of singing that she hasn’t had any formal training with yet, and of course, build her self confidence, which is actually really amazing already! I always tell my students to reach for the stars; Mila is already a star, but the sky is the limit for her, just wait and see! I am thrilled to be working with her; she sings so effortlessly and has the sweetest disposition.Ironically, I have another virtual student in AZ recently too,so a few more, and I may just have to move to the west coast ;) Feel so blessed to have found each other, and can’t wait till next week’s lesson! I already have a list of songs she compiled by some new up and coming artists that I need to learn; she gave me some homework :) Love her🩷 #partofyourworld #thelittlemermaid
