i had the sweetest little dream last night ☁️I dreamt that my milk production for baby number 2 was flowing 💦 & i woke up so incredibly happy and at ease 😊 i shared on stories that i believe the reason i had this dream was due to the release of stress I felt finally getting my hands on my formula of choice this time around (decided on @bobbie currently...and if you’re confused as to my feeding method of choice, i will be combo feeding) because i knew that i could AT LEAST be able to feed my baby for a little over a month without worry...yay! and then it dawned on me... HOW SAD IS IT THAT THIS IS EVEN THE CASE FOR US PARENTS?! that I can “finally find formula” and can “at least feed my baby for a month”?! As I’ve already expressed previously, not every mother has the ability to breastfeed (& even when they can there is very little support for it) and NOW on top of that, the shelves at stores, where we are supposed to find food to feed our babies, are empty forcing parents coast to coast to coordinate formula exchanges, get family and friends to check their local stores and even travel across state borders to get their hands on formula. Isn’t this wild??? Nonetheless, I have been uplifted by this really beautiful sweet dream. Let’s continue to empower families and trust, without shame and guilt, that they are doing what’s best for their children, shall we? We want healthy babies but we also want mentally healthy families as well 💋 besitos
