Straddle lifts! Or mula bandha check up is what itβs called in Rocket Yoga. π This one is one of my favorite to gain some serious core, hip flexor and arm strength and prep for so many other hand balances!!! :)
These ππ» are the exercises that eventually helped me get my bum and feet of the floor. In all of the seated exercises remember to lean forward over your leg. If you lean back you will not only lose a lot of your core strength, it makes it harder to lift those long legs too. π
Lean forward, press your hands down, push the arms straight and draw your navel to your spine. Hips lift! Keep the back rounded to access your core power and lift your legs up up up! π₯
Start working with props first to give yourself extra room and grip strength, lift the hips first, then one leg and the other. After a while you will be ready to try without the extra block height.
