My recovery after being shot has taught me progress can be gained inch by inch—just like the fight to end gun violence. For 10 years since I co-founded @GiffordsCourage, my goal has been to save lives. I’m so grateful for the survivors and advocates I’ve met along the way, including @JRichardsonVista and @PamBosley40, who both lost their sons to gun violence. Their strength and the progress we’ve all made together gives me hope. It will be a long, hard haul, but I’m optimistic.
