Ft. Worth, Texas is home of a rather prominently placed crumbling, 3-story brick building. It’s the only building in the country still standing that was created - specifically - to house the KKK. It’s where they practiced their marches (in full regalia). It’s where they held assemblies and rallies - complete with an auditorium and seating for 4000. For some longtime Ft. Worth residents, the building *still* invokes fear. They avoid driving by it to this day. But the building is changing. Soon, it will become a community resource center + performing arts space - and a powerful symbol of transformation. Loved telling this story as part of our #Juneteenth coverage on @todayshow.
