Divine Mother Muse :: A sacred shrine for ritual, prayer + offerings~ For me, this is the most potent piece in the collection. I birthed my first baby almost three years ago. It has crumbled + changed me in every way- this piece was my way of processing this experience. Mama energy is so powerful. Her humbling strength can instantaneously burn down a forest; blow away a town; crumble steel buildings; crack open the ground; + flood miles of land. Simultaneously, her softness + love unconditionally foster all the lives that depend on her- down to the microscopic organisms we can’t even see. Her power is intimidating + her tenderness is comforting. Her mountains tower above the clouds + her ocean floors sink into abysses we’ll never see. She’s infinitely mysterious + completely familiar. She is fierce + tender. She dances in harmony with the moon + sun. She ebbs + flows. She is cyclical + seasonal. She beholds both life + death. She can rise from the strength she carries alone, but truly thrives when she’s supported. She is a macrocosm of polarity, duality + balance. She is each extreme + everything in between. She is home. She is love. She is divine. This is Mother. What a beautiful fucking embodiment of everything I hope to be as a mother. Every mother holds this vast array of experience within.
