A month ago I interviewed Demna for NRC Magazine, supplement of the Dutch newspaper, out this weekend. How Europe and the world have changed since, and definitely for a designer who fled Georgia and lived in Ukraine. It made this morning’s Balenciaga show especially emotional. Not much of the fun we spoke about. But so incredible. On our seats was a heartbreaking statement from Demna “dedicated to fearlessness, to resistance, and to the victory of love and peace”.
