Very inspiring day spent learning about sustainable floristry from the master @shaneconnollyandco in the beautiful flower heaven @sarahravensgarden . Lots of food for thought. I love getting a set design brief that incorporates flowers and have enjoyed countless an early morning trip to Covent Garden Market, unfortunately though so many of the flowers there are imported. So I’m not claiming to have made my last trip, but I am going to try my best to steer clients and set briefs into seasonal flowers which can be ordered from UK flower farms directly. I’ve had a couple of beautiful flower deliveries recently from @burntfenflowers and I’m looking forward to working with more suppliers from @flowersfromthefarm 🌼🌾🌻🌿 Quoting Shane quoting Pete Seeger: “If it can't be reduced, reused, repaired, rebuilt, refurbished, refinished, resold, recycled or composted, then it should be restricted, redesigned or removed from production.”
