Skönhetslidelse - Beauty’s suffering « The offering » 🌺 — Reality for once caught back on the realm of dreams When suddenly, a hand filled with red scales emerged from the water‘s shores It shone like the burning sun‘s surface, like vermillion blood from a still-beating heart This palm seemed to be waiting for someone to welcome it As a blind offering willing to bind two beings to an invisible contract — This serie was inspired by the term « Skönhetslidelse » or « Beauty’s suffering » that I read in Evert Lindfors’s book. He depicts this sensation almost as a disease, an inner feeling calling you to reach true beauty through your art. But since perfection can’t be achieved, it represents the journey you’ll take to fail repeatedly at creating your visions and how to embrace it, finding beauty along the way.
