My hair is at an awkward stage for my face shape! I prefer it more at the shaggy lob length. until I cut my bangs again I've been wearing it in a little side French braid. My hair is very soft and straight so I like to add lots of extra undressed texture spray. It keeps my hair super soft but adds enough texture that it stays where I put it. i've been brushing my scalp and hair a lot to encourage growth and spread the product through. The brush I like to use is by my friend @roxiejanehunt and it's made with vegan boar bristles and longer nylon bristles. I It feels great on my scalp and is a perfect thing to use when I haven't washed in a few days. For me, the combo of a razor cut, quitting shampoo and using new wash, and brushing is the magic formula.
