To begin, walk around your outdoor space and gather some interesting objects to arrange them in an abstract way. Maybe you found a flower, tall blade of grass, fallen leaf or multi-toned pebble. Have your recycled cardboard or paper and your drawing tools of choice. I like crayons and colored pencils best for this. Next, begin sketching what you see. This can be as realistic or abstract as you would like. Be sure to capture the vibrant colors and unique shapes that nature offers.
