An inspirational true legend from the island of M. Muli, @khaif_ahmed_happe always had a life long dream of being in the same waters with tiger sharks. A dream he had very passionately expressed on his Facebook status. To his surprise, his wish was heard. With collaborations from @baabaa.gaadiya @sameydhaaninn guesthouse and Fuvahmulah Mayor Ismail Rafeeg , he was invited to visit our one island atoll to fulfill his dream. . Once an upcoming dive guide, he experienced an unfortunate dive incident that caused permanent paralysis to lower half of his body. Where some people would have stopped living life, he decided to lead a life of adventure and enjoy it on a next level. An avid surfer, an organizer for Maldivian surfing competition & a free diver who loves to spear fish, he now has his chance to free dive with tiger sharks. . We at @pelagicdiversfuvahmulah are humbled to be a part of his journey. It was such an honour to take him into to the water. His excitement and the questions he asked, reminded us why we love what we do. But most of all, it was what Khaif said after the freediving session that made an impact. "I've always thought tiger sharks will be fiercely coming at you. But they don't care about us. They don't care about you". We are grateful to have the opportunity to show the true behaviour of tiger sharks, far from what the movies and the media portrays. . We wish Khaif all the best in what he does.
