Thank you @amirzinggrace for reminding me recently that a caterpillar pretty much dissolves in a chrysalis. This resonates! 🐛 🐛🐛 Currently identifying with this goo... this pride 🏳️‍🌈 my gender is pupa. Dissolving can be painful, dormancy can feel confusing, and incubation is a sacred process that requires clear boundary-making in order to work its magic ✨. The chrysalis doesn’t let anything in that’s not essential to the transformation process, this was the reminder I needed. It might all feel like a murky soup right now but as Wikipedia says “the contents of the pupa are not entirely an amorphous mess”. There is some kind of logic to this goopy quiescence. Trust.
