Beast Movie Review 1.5 out of 5 Freddie B's - Not Good #FreddieBMovieReview #RealMovieReview Movie very straightforward. No twist, nothing cerebral here. Maybe I should have known from the movie's name being just "Beast". Movie starts off fine to hook you into the movie and then starts the plot building. Movie could've been an average movie if it weren't for the totally unrealistic ending and the annoying older daughter. The ending makes literally no sense and absolutely would never happen. It really cheapens the movie to where after dealing with the older daughter in this movie, it's almost like you've had enough. Speaking of the older daughter, she is an annoying character. She is the genesis of the majority of the strife and conflict in the movie. Some of the plot is born out of her anger but... There is a better way to handle this. Possibly her acting and handling of the lines given could have been better executed. The draw of this movie is ALL Idris Elba. This movie will be a barometer of how big of a draw he is alone. Fortunately the movie is a brisk hour and 30 minutes. Overall the movie is standard fare from Will Packer (similar to Blumhouse Films as well). Construct a movie on a razor thin budget and figure out an angle for people to come see and make a little money and move on to the next. Definitely a movie to throw on for a Netflix and chill type night.
