as september is coming to a close let me finally post about the most special day of the year. (prepare for the sappiest post you’ll read today) september 13th is the day i asked the most exceptional human to be my partner. our story will indefinitely continue to be written, but i’ve treasured it since the moment i laid my eyes on her. it all made sense. our love was unexpected and it unfolded in the most perfect way. i’ve written poems upon poems about how lucky i am to love her, and i cannot begin to describe the happiness i’ve experienced since being loved by her. she is the person who never fails to see me, and the inevitable connection that my heart has always longed for. it was just like in the movies the moment i met her, there were sparks and butterflies and i just immediately knew... i would love her forever. before i knew it, 3 months was 7, and then 10 months was a year. 365 days feels so small when i think about our future, but i still talk about her like she’s my high school crush. i go to bed every night and i thank god for giving me another day with my future wife. she is my favorite alignment of the universe. she is the hardest worker i know, and she constantly pushes me to be better. sydney is the best friend you can ever have because you’ll never meet someone as loyal. to know her, is to love her... and i do. she’s an incredible leader, and always has a plan A, B and C. she loves loudly, and with no shame, and as a queer couple that kind of love is something you don’t always see. humans are not perfect, but she is perfect for me. the moments we’ve shared in the past year, are some of my favorite i’ve ever known. i’ve locked them in a place in my heart for only her and i... so happy three hundred, and sixty five. ———————————————————- syd, you are my family, and my partner in everything. there will never be a moment in this life where i don’t love you.... and i’ll love you even after that. thank you for giving me something as special as our love.
