Since November last year I have been blessed enough to be journeying this life alongside Miss @ronanksm as a personal assistant and a friend. Ronan is the multidisciplinary, infinitely talented, beautiful, intelligent, sensitive and compassionate boss-bestie from beyond my wildest dreams. With both of us sharing, not only a love of family, but also a need to reckon with the memory - or lack thereof - of those who came before us, we started fantasising about a trip to Barbados, where we could attempt to untangle the knots and attend to the wounds and ruptures that persist along the courses of our ties to an island we both love so deeply.
