Arniano in August last year. Sweltering but magical. We’ve been away all summer this year, trying and failing to escape the heat in England, Sweden and Scotland but I cannot wait to get back next month for our Autumn painting courses and to rustle up some delicious meals using the best of autumn’s glorious bounty. Porcini, grapes, squash and the rest. All most exciting but first, two September courses at @pylewellpark and @domainedelavene where the menus will reflect the area. At Pylewell this means delicious locally caught fish from the Solent and venison haunch from the estate; in Carcassone we’ll be cooking from the best of the Languedoc’s markets.
