Dreams of the future are taking off w/ @flyarcher 💨 @moniiquejones and I got the chance to get a close up look at Maker - Archer’s demonstrator eVTOL aircraft. This aircraft is an absolute game changer. It’s all electric and it takes off and lands vertically, meaning these will have the capability to operate within cities. What a treat getting to explore this design and learn about what the future of travel will look like. Imagine getting from DTLA to the beach in 5 or 10 minutes instead of sitting in traffic for an hour... Or getting from San Francisco to Napa in 10 or 15 minutes instead of spending 2 hours driving around the bay while battling traffic. If Archer has its way this will soon be possible. What you see here is an autonomous prototype. The production aircraft Archer is working on is being designed to carry four passengers with a professional pilot. Think of your favorite car-based ridesharing service, but in the sky. I can’t wait for a future where highway congestion is a thing of the past. When you live in a big city you get accustomed to traffic. It’s just part of life, but Archer is looking to change that. With this new eVTOL technology we’re headed for a world where we can spend less time stuck in traffic and more time doing what we love, with the people we love.
