Today, I introduced a resolution standing with the international community in condemning the Islamic Republic of Iran for the killing of Mahsa Amini, and for the violence unleashed on peaceful protesters demanding justice and accountability for her senseless death. Mahsa Amini — and the thousands of voices calling for an end to the repression of Iranian women — deserve justice. I stand in solidarity with Iran’s women-led human rights movement, and commend their bravery and courage in demanding the rights and freedom they deserve.
