“Roger Brilliant’s going home, now isn’t he?” 6.21.2019, Copenhagen, Denmark ••••• I haven’t been to Europe in exactly 3 years. In celebration of heading across the pond, & (more importantly) the triumphant return of my best mate & role model in life, ROGER BRILLIANT, to Merry Olde England (he’s coming with me & will be running my day-to-day affairs on the continent in his own inimitable manner), I shall be deleting my only social media account, Instagram, from my phone for the entire month of August (maybe longer- this app is already addictive & now it pretty much sucks balls for us photographers, which why I started using it in the first place- PHOTOGRAPHY.) I have shows to play, bands to watch, a book to write, photos to take, Euro-Cameos to record, old man stretches to do, spaghetti to eat, foreign languages to butcher... you know, living-life type stuff, as opposed to looking at ads or stupid videos I never signed up for in the first place. I shan’t be checking it at all, don’t bother to message me, Roger’s got to run along now, so ta-ta, my loves! Stay brilliant! (PS- try it! Take a month off from social media- trust me, it’s good for you. You won’t miss anything of any real value- Roger’s done it before & he felt much, much better, now didn’t he?)
