Katina and I were incredibly honored to join the Board of Advocates for @theskateparkproject founded by @tonyhawk this year. Despite the pandemic TSP was able to open 11 new skateparks and awarded 27 new grants to underserved communities across 19 states. It is now more than ever that we are seeing the direct impact that outdoor recreation and skateboarding has on the mental and physical health and well-being of youth, and we are excited to announce that 17 more parks broke ground on new construction. The technical service assistance program was able to help 516 communities as they began the process of starting their own local projects. None of this would be possible without the generous support of donors. Between now and the end of the year, thanks to an anonymous donor, all donations to the TSP will be matched dollar for dollar! Join us in our mission to create more safe and inclusive public skateparks for underserved communities across the country. Katina and I look forward to continuing our support of TSP’s mission while also promoting nutrition, good food systems, and pathways for kids to agriculture and culinary arts.
