The process to make this dress was a turning point for me as a designer. I realized that not only am I making a garment but I’m also creating the fabric as I go. I took one metallic thread paired with a crochet thread to make the yarn and strung hundreds of sequins and beads onto the thread. I added a bead into the fabric every few stitches and even though it slowed my making process way down, I can’t get enough of the result.
