I had the absolute pleasure of creating this custom up-cycled wedding dress for David Allwood for the Mr Gay England competition (which he won btw!! Huge congrats 👑). David wanted his dress to pay homage to the incredible LGBTQ scene that London has to offer and to raise awareness that so many of our spaces have closed in the last 10 years, or are currently under threat of closure due to redevelopments and rising rent prices. The dress is painted with the names of some of the iconic LGBTQ spaces and venues that we have lost and those that we could potentially lose. I don’t know where or who I would be without the London scene so this commission felt very close to my heart. I’m so pleased for David for winning the competition and spreading such an important message. 💖 #fashion #lgbtq #fyp
