Aloha, y’all. I was just off this (my only social media account) for over a month, & I must say, if you’ve ever considered taking a nice long social media break— I HIGHLY recommend it. I’m deleting IG immediately for at least another month (or longer) as soon as I post this, so adios! I’ve felt much happier w/out it, & ironically the only reason l’m posting this on (yes, I know) social media is to encourage other people to get the fuck off it for a while. Social media can be a business tool/used to promote charitable causes, which I have done before, but let’s be honest- for the most part, it’s a massive waste of time. Life is not meant to lived passively staring at a little screen like a zombie. So why am I even bothering to do this instead just not posting at all? Because I think it could improve your life, that’s why- give it a try! I do enjoy sharing photos, so I need to figure out a better way to promote my photography, one that doesn’t include all the time wasting craziness that comes w/social media (make no mistake, we live in the attention economy, social media is for profit & addictive BY DESIGN— all the ads, stupid videos, & people constantly arguing over bullshit is just way too much- I mean, when was the last time arguing on social media did a single thing to make the world a better place? Answer: NEVER EVER EVER.) In the meantime, here’s a few shots from Europe. So put down the phone & go live life- it’s good for your mental health- I know it has been for mine. See y’all whenever!
