The effects of art practices on our health and well being has been a top priority topic for me. I know the benefits first hand as well as from countless chats with artist friends and colleagues. It has been the catalyst for my decision to lead a new venture to help share those benefits the best way I can. I know it works. I had the privilege of attending Healing Arts conferences and events in NY. Got to meet and hear from top experts in the field at NYU symposium. It confirmed everything I’ve been working on. (More to share on that later) The data supporting how Neuroaesthetics make a positive difference on our health, neuroplasticity, stress levels and the overall quality of our lives is irrefutable. A ton of gratitude to all the experts and organizations leading the path that include the World Health Organization, Johns Hopkins International Arts + Mind Lab and The Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund. I was thrilled to meet Susan Magsamen, author of must read book “Your Brain on Art” and Nisha Sajnani, co-founder of Jameel Arts & Health Lab. I am committed to serving as a bridge connecting the arts, and the science with my community at large. Just 20 minutes a day of creative practices can make a difference.
