Above anything else about this space is the consideration of the sound system and the way it completely envelopes both floor and DJ as one. Inside the booth you cannot isolate yourself by way of the monitors (as is possible in other situations) from the awesome power spewing forward from the stacks on the main floor, and this ultimately is a good thing. From a DJ’s perspective the monitors act only as complimentary detail, allowing no choice but to completely surrender to the information being broadcast back at you, facilitating a unique kind of unity between performer and listener.
