Mt. Hood is one of the gems of the PNW and an iconic Oregon backdrop! 🏔 It emerges from the surrounding dense forested landscape and makes itself known to all that pass by. You can see Mt. Hood’s frosty peak year round dyed pink with each sunrise and sunset. This formidable giant plays peekaboo amongst the clouds and haze. But each time it reappears it never becomes less gobsmackingly beautiful. Even with being one of the most popular destinations in Oregon, there is still plenty of privacy to be had—making it an incredible destination to elope! From the mountain top views, to hiking up its many ridges, to the base of its glacier capped sides, and the surrounding lakes—just like this one! Believe it or not we were able to drive up to this location 👀. They didn't need to break a sweat or dodge other hikers. It was seriously that easy and private. So...would you rather enjoy the view from above or below for your elopement? Hike the slopes or pull up to the base? (Psst! There is no wrong answer. You won’t be disappointed either way!)
