What does this hot weather and no rain mean for us farmers? Being an outdoor grazing herd we need rain to allow the grass to grow, with this current draught and little if any grass growth we have had to ‘tuck in’ to our winter feed. As farmers we need to always prepare ourselves for dry summers and wet winters, providing our animals with high quality forage all year round.
