Realizing this full body session is just a hip and scapula movement day
First movement was part of my prep but wanted to share, deadlifts were the main strength block, and then the shoulder + chest were banged out together,
Does anyone else feel just absolutely brain fogged after a holiday? Like it’s been 3 days since thanksgiving and I couldn’t tell you what day it is until I gotta report back to work, the weather is getting worse so I’m fighting the winter blues, and I just start to over or under think everything
Anyways here’s some analysis from the last weighted session I had before thanksgiving:
Movement 1: apart of my prep, looking back now if I were coaching myself I’d try to not allow my entire pelvis to tilt up, so maybe holding a pole or a wall would be good to reinforce that. If I do them again I’m sure you’ll see. The issue with my hip tilting is obviously I’m stabilizing on my grounded hip, but my goal was to get that moving hip to roll through that socket 🧦
2: Deadlifts: actually my first time going higher rep in a long time I think... been swapping out trap bar and sumo throughout this program for the last month and a half
3: For a harder core challenge I’m on the end of the bench rather than the side. If you try you will really feel your core having to stay tight to keep you from wobbling.
4: One of my favorite hamstring movements + it’s hard. I’ll swap out from double leg, to single leg. Eccentric only, full movement, etc.
5: Shoulder press + a lateral raise. Double whammy that’s what I hear.
6: Single Arm ECC Push-up. Honestly just working on building my push-up strength. I’ve been cycling through regular push-ups, power push-ups, deadstop pushups, and now these for the program I’m on.
