repost bc ig fd up the slide through 🥲 anyway... when i was in ny, i had the pleasure of meeting some of my cutest mutuals n shooting a mini series while i was there ^_^ i was super inspired by kyoichi tsuzuki’s happy victims :3 but instead of having my subjects surrounded by their fav designer, i wanted them enclosed in their own space surrounded by their driving forces in life. i’ve found learning about my friends and seeing what makes them unique to be rlly inspiring and healing during a time where i’m trying to discover who i am/was outside of my relationship. starting off with valentina <3 when you walk into her space, you can immediately feel the love she has for music as you’re engulfed by the ambient sounds blaring from her speaker. i wish i could remember what was playing, but it’s all a blur of melodic beats and tunes. her cat joined us as if this was simply just another day for him, swimming through the sound waves with ease. in a corner, valentina’s clothes were tucked away neatly on a rack, organized in her specific way. she didn’t notice, but i was completely enamored by her carefully curated collection of some of my favorite designers/brands. junya, yohji, prada and miu miu to name a few... her style is one of my personal favorites, and you can see her mark plastered in every nook and cranny of her room. whether it be a nightstand made of her book collection or a manifestation board stashed away with misc. knick knacks, the attention to detail and precise placement of each item gave you a peek into valentina’s eye, which, to me, graced you with a sliver of her vulnerability ❤️‍🩹
