How to figure out what looks good on you or your client!
Play with it! Simulate different lengths. Step back from your client or from the mirror. Then cut it an inch and a half longer than you think you want it when it's dry (3 1/2 inches longer for curls) ..
This formula pretty much works for me every time.
A good haircut is not about weather a French bob, a shag, a pixie, or bangs would look good on you. It's about where it hits on your face shape.
To me everything else is pretty secondary.
If you want to learn how to cut your own bangs at home my DIY class for non-hairstylists is great. I teach you how to see your own face. I'm also doing a little sale for my daughter's birthday which has two more days ❤️
i'm looking forward to all the upcoming education as well and to announcing more.

I've always been pretty honest on this account and transparent about what's going on in my life. I leave the super personal stuff out of it mostly but I try to be pretty open to inspire connection and community here. This business of living in LA week on week off is pretty disorienting if I'm going to be honest. I've been wanting to move there for so many years to join the creative community. I don't think it's natural for the human body to be zooming through the air hundreds of miles an hour every single week. I'm already a creative person that struggles with anxiety, depression, and feeling displaced.
i'm wondering if I should just rent a room in a house with roommates so I don't pressure myself to actually live there half the time. And I just have a little room to call my own for when I want to go. And of course suddenly I want to be in the forest more, in New York more, etc.
but I'm trying it out and that's a big step. Thank you all for being out there. Thank you for your loving messages.
I will see you in LA Monday!
Xo
