Last night, a shooter opened fire in a Chesapeake, Virginia Walmart, killing six people. This latest mass shooting comes only days after the shooting at Club Q in Colorado, a night out of dancing and fun that ended with five innocent lives lost, 17 people injured, and a community in mourning. ⁠ ⁠ These mass shootings are an absolute abomination. ⁠Queer lives deserve to love out loud and not be pushed into solitude by fear. People deserve to feel safe when they leave their homes to see a movie, pick up groceries, and go to school. ⁠ ⁠ The age-old question of when will the government take a stance on #guncontrol remains.
