@indigolewin , captures the Intimacy of Dance as the Artist in Residence for @labiennale in collaboration with @studiowaynemcgregor Selected by multi-award-winning British choreographer and director Wayne McGregor CBE. Indigo was appointed as Artist in Residence in July 2021, and was invited to document McGregors debut festival, as Director of the Biennale Danza - First Sense. During Indigo’s residency, she captured the fleeting moments and interactions between the performers, highlighting the importance of physical touch in a post a pandemic environment following restrictive isolations. “Indigo Lewin, our photographic artist in residence last year, will unveil her intimate dance portraits of Biennale Danza 21 – elucidating epic encounters with our recent past. Lewin, a bright light in a new generation of radical photographers has always had bodies at the centre of her practice.
