Nearly 11 stir-crazy months after our last tour ended, this past week brought just what I needed: the chance to make live music with my tour family. It might have been in an empty Ryman Auditorium in front of a bunch of cameras but I'm thankful for any little of bit of normal I can get. In any other year, we get to do this maybe a hundred times and it's easy to forget how much I love it and what a privilege it is to be a part of such a fine band and crew. Here's to the band for being great musicians, CD & JW & Clay & Trey for being so audio, David Cook for asking if we're proud of that part, Pepke for telling us where to be and when, Janet for guiding this ship through such uncharted waters and of course Maren for making music that resonates with so many and for being the best boss anyone could ask for.
