JUSTICE FOR STELLA’S GROOVE!! In this month’s edition of our romance column Love Like This (written by me and @ineyekomo), we rewatch the 1998 classic, ‘How Stella Got Her Groove Back’ starring Angela Thee Bassett and Taye Diggs in his first movie role (and at his finest!!!) as Stella, 40, and Winston, 20. Yep, their pairing is as chaotic — and HOT — as you remember. The ending is NOT AT ALL what I remembered though and the title is incredibly misleading!!!! Where was Stella’s hot girl summer!!?? Get the bitch a roster!! Anyway, 24 years after its release, we ask some important questions: would we really want a love like Stella and Winston have? Did Stella leave her groove back in ‘98?
