We had a great time watching (and listening to!) artist Michaela Yearwood-Dan as she prepped her paints for her mural @queercircle, ‘Let Me Hold You’. Planning an immersive painting that could wrap the viewer in a peaceful and reflective space, Michaela mixed colours with that in mind. ⁠ ⁠ When the palette was sorted, mediums played an important role in getting the quality of the paint right, so there were textural areas thickened with mediums such as Structure and Sand Gel and smooth areas of transparent colour thinned with Flow Improver. ⁠ ⁠ What mediums do you use in your practice? ⁠ ⁠ @artistandgal #queercircle #winsorandnewton #michaelayearwooddan #mural #galleria #acrylic
