This book reminded me of the good ole chicken noodle soup short stories except it was about stories of multi billion dollar companies making key business decisions that influenced the long term success of some of these companies. It all came down to be willing to look past the short term gains to do the right thing. In all these examples the payoff was much greater longer term by benefiting the employees or the customers even if it may have hurt the company’s bottom line at the time of the decision. Overall this was a super easy read and there’s some great examples in there, but it doesn’t really go into as much depth as I would have liked. Still a great read for those who want to look in the past for some great business decisions and the high level impact of those decisions. Thank you to #vernieharnish and the other editors of Fortune for compiling these examples. Next up going to post about #decideanddeliver by some Bain OGs #marciablenko #michaelmankins #paulrogers
