The house behind my gmas is what I consider home whenever I talk about Toronto. The living room with the permanently installed window air conditioner not installed at a window is one of the first memories I can think of. The first 18 years of my life, every Saturday was spent there with all of my cousins. Birthdays, Lunar New Years, and all of the public holidays, all of our memories bloomed from that space. We lost the house, the familiar smell, and our family history. Today is the last day that I can ever call it home again.
