The Santa Ana winds are howling outside while I listen to Geeta Dutt’s glorious voice inside, sipping some delightful floral @aesthetetea tea from my beloved @eastforkpottery cup. . I remember the first time I held an East Fork juice cup. It was in the color Amaro which is a lovely earthy clay-like color but deeper and richer. And the cup immediately reminded me of the Indian ‘Kulhads’ which are disposable clay cups that you can drink tea out of. While the East Fork juice cup have a beautiful form different from a kulhad, it evoked its essence & I found that comforting. . So, of course when we were dreaming up the Edible Flowers Food Box, I really wanted to showcase the juice cup and share this beautiful little vessel with you. And I’m thrilled that we were able to feature in the box, this Juice Cup in the seasonal glaze Fiddlehead, evocative of moss & forest ferns. We think it makes the perfect green ‘stem’ to drink your flowers from. . And that brings me to the delightful tea from Aesthete. Aesthete is a QBIPOC brand, created by Brianna Thornton, that don’t see themselves as being just about tea (although their teas are fresh & deelicious). They seek to promote a more conscious & less impactful way of living.
