Woke up this morning to be named one of 25 Women Reshaping Australia in celebration of @sydneymorningherald @sundaylifeau 25th anniversary. To be seen as a trailblazer in one of my lowest weeks, reliving my trauma through a court hearing of my sexual assault case by two men in the music industry, feels so conflicting. This week, I felt overwhelmed, weak, defeated, small and battled with my own shame and blame. I didn’t feel like a trailblazer. Then I read the stories of the other 24 women and the messages of support from each of you and remembered that our resilience comes through our shared vulnerability, strength and community. It is so important to fight for each other and I’m proud of what I have fought through for myself, and for others. Thank you for fighting for me this week, and every other week, so that I have the courage to keep breaking through ceilings and using my voice.
