Pre-production for my second solo Project T-Dot exhibit has begun in Toronto. It will be a multimedia show on my documentary project on Toronto's hip-hop history at a major location. My solo Project T-Dot photography exhibit at Toronto's City Hall ended on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, after nearly five months, and I feel immense gratitude for the fact that the project came to fruition, its extension, the organizations that funded and supported it, every journalist and media platform that covered it, the thousands of people that visited and shared the exhibit, the inspiring people and organizations featured throughout the show, and Toronto's hip-hop community as a whole. Between 2006, when Project T-Dot began, and 2021, every proposal, every pitch, and every grant application that I submitted or presented on behalf of Project T-Dot was rejected. However, due to my faith in and respect for Toronto's hip-hop community, my belief in myself, and the sunk cost fallacy, I refused to give up on Project T-Dot. As a result, the City of Toronto and ArtworxTO supported and funded Toronto's introduction to Project T-Dot, and presented me with the opportunity to display photographs from the project on one of Canada's most recognizable landmarks. When it was installed on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, my solo Project T-Dot photography exhibit at Toronto's City Hall was the largest photography exhibit in Canada; it was and still is the largest art exhibit on hip-hop culture in Canadian history, and it was the first art exhibit that occupied two floors on the exterior of City Hall. The exhibit exceeded my expectations; it showcased many marginalized groups and started countless overdue conversations on Toronto's hip-hop history. It also expanded my mind in many ways; it created incredible opportunities for me, improved my work ethic and determination, and led me to improve many of my skills at a pace that was unfathomable to me a year ago, especially such skills as public speaking, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, writing, and media relations, among many others, primarily through facilitating far more than 60 tours of the exhibit. Thank you, Toronto! #toronto
