a mini @burningman story time with a very small collection of the safe for work photos I’ve gathered of the beautiful Sunrise Tavern gang. I also included @alottaeric ‘s drone footage from Burn night that shows just how large our playa galaxy was (miles and miles of lights and, like I said, not trashed — people this is proof we can be better at festivals. Please!) “We are all stardust.” ✨ For a week, I maybe spent 15 minutes on my phone and am debating on whether or not to bring a real camera to the next one since I desperately want, maybe even need, y’all to see what I was seeing, but I also shoot stuff for a living and want to be present as the things at the playa deserve appreciation. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And how lovely and honored I was to be the ring bearer for my first playa wedding, a wild Burn adventure in itself! Imagine biking in the thick of Night’s shroud, visibility limited to only twinkling, gleaming bike lights a few feet away from you in a whiteout sandstorm, guided by a string of people yelling out and listening for our rally word “Carlos!” amidst gusting winds as a guide. The realest game of Marco Polo, you’ve ever played 😂👀👂. We had set out to find a particular sculpture, but with no visibility whatsoever and an hour and half into the storm, we found a beautiful rainbow....life/love finds a way 😛❤️✨💒 🦕 and @tychomusic sunrise set was a core memory experience, watching the pastel colors of the sunrise transform a desolate, desert landscape scattered with zany sculptures is surreal, unlike any other visual experience I’ve ever had and I work in a visual medium 😍🤩🤯 We did good. #sunriseTavern 🥞🥓☀️ #burningMan #showUsYour🍑 #playaLove #playadust #brc #blackrockcity #wakingdreams2022 #🌈 #nothingbutlove #welcomeHome
