When Brooke Steinbach and her family adopted a four-year-old autistic child named Kristina, the agency told them that she would never read and be a danger to herself. Fast-forward twelve years later, Kristina has proven the agency wrong. She found comfort in her family’s Shiba Inu named Keiko who became her autism service dog and has been fascinated with dogs ever since.
